Melissa Bak

Melissa Bak is a medical student in the Feinberg Class of 2024. She grew up in Reno, Nevada, and graduated from Northwestern University in 2020 with a BA in neuroscience. At Northwestern, Melissa helped spearhead initiatives for a new medical service organization, Nous Fe, which partnered with a nonprofit to provide medical services in Jacmel, Haiti. Her global health studies in France also ignited her passion for health equity work. She joined Second Opinions to pursue her interests in healthcare quality improvement and to play a proactive role in alleviating health disparities. In her free time, Melissa loves to bake, ski, and spend time outdoors.
